This weekend is the opening event of the South Carolina B.A.S.S. Nation Youth Series on Lake Hartwell

The road to the 2024 Bassmaster Junior and High School National Championship begins this Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Anderson County as the South Carolina B.A.S.S. Nation Youth Series take on Lake Hartwell for the opening event of the season.
The tournament will be held out of Green Pond Landing and Event Center, which recently hosted the 2023 Strike King Bassmaster High School Fishing National Championship presented by Academy Sports & Outdoors.

The one-day event will begin at 7 a.m. The Junior Division will weigh in at 2 p.m. The High School Division will weigh in at 3 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
Tony Gray, Tournament Director, and South Carolina B.A.S.S. Nation Youth Director, brings his tournament trail to Green Pond Landing for the third consecutive year. Gray anticipates the opening trail event at Lake Hartwell will draw 140 to 150 boats.

In youth fishing, each boat contains two anglers and an adult designated as the Boat Captain.
"We're very excited to have the youth of the South Carolina B.A.S.S Nation fishing in our facility, on our lake, and in our community this weekend." - Neil Paul, Executive Director of Visit Anderson
"The youth angler is the future of our sport, our future customer, a future visitor or even a future resident of our Anderson County," continued Neil Paul. "We're excited about the opportunity to host them and show off the many great assets in our community."
Upcountry Lifestyle would like to wish each of the youth competitors' good luck and best wishes!
