Augusta News WJBF-TV 6 features McCormick in Series Premier of Your Hometown Road Trip! You can watch this entertaining show as Host, Brandon Dawson, visits the Heritage Gold Mine Park, The Red Rooster, and Hester's Bottoms Campground.

While at the Heritage Gold Mine Park, Dawson interviewed park manager, Dave, and took a tour of the cavern and prospecting areas. Dave told Dawson, "I was a gold prospector for quite some time, and I was invited to retire from a chemical plant and the park manager at the park had to step down because of poor health and I decided I would put my name in the pot for that."

"What are the chances of me walking out of here a gold millionaire? Is that a thing?" Brandon Dawson stated to Dave at Heritage Gold Mine Park.

Dawson continued, "It's a thing, but it's not likely at the end of the day."

Later, Dawson walked over to Storeys at the Red Rooster and visited with owner, Beth. Dawson said to Beth, "I'm taking a look around and I'm seeing a lot of really interesting things in here." Dawson continued by asking Beth, "What is it about antiques that people love? What do you think draws people to it?"

"It just brings back a lot of memories for them. Seeing a great piece or even things that their grandparents had. It brings back a time of nostalgia for people." - Beth, Owner of Storeys at the Red Rooster

Before leaving the Red Rooster, Dawson met Eula Belle, Beth's eight-month-old golden-doodle. Beth said, "She comes to work with me every day. She has a lot of admirers here in the county. She's not going to want you to leave."

After visiting Beth at Storeys at the Red Rooster, Dawson travelled to Hester's Bottoms Campground in Mount Carmel to meet with Lindsey.

Dawson asked, "How long have you guys been doing this?"

"Two years May the 15th. It's already been two years that we've actually been open." - Lindsey, Hester's Bottoms Campground

Dawson said to Lindsey, "Tell us a little about you and what this place is and what it's all about."

"Hester's Bottoms is a small family privately owned campground. The property is actually owned by the Army Corps of Engineers, and I have a twenty-five-year lease with them," said Lindsey. "We are all about family and we are all about experiencing the outdoors. Getting people out moving and making memories," she continued.

Dawson stated to Lindsey, "Talk to me a little about the process that led up to that and how you ended up being here. What made you decide to do this kind of thing?"
